Pumpjacks are how you dig in [π] Find Animal Bones. The official loop starts by buying them. Gameplay then shows a Pumpjacks shop visit followed by placement. Owning a machine and completing an animal are different results.
A shop visit that changes the dig
- Name the job you want the purchase to do: first device, extra digging, or a hole expansion you are weighing against equipment.
- Open the Pumpjacks shop and read the item that is actually in stock, plus the Ducat price on that visit. A price remembered from another session is not your price.
- If you can afford it and you will place it, buy it. If you cannot, either take a cheaper device that has a real job or keep saving. The Ducat shortfall calculator only does the arithmetic you enter.
- Place the device and go back to discoveries. Stop at the shop and the collection will not move.
Stock refreshes in gameplay, with a countdown you can read in the moment. The next refresh does not guarantee the device you wanted. A timer in a recording is not a fixed global restock interval. If you would rather dig than wait, leave and check the shop when you return. Do not spend Ducats you had reserved for a different machine just because a substitute is affordable.
Names you can recognize
These names appear in gameplay discussions of equipment: Winch, Rocker, Steam Crane, Tower Crane, Derrick, Platform, and Headframe. They are a partial reference so you can tell machines apart. They are not a proven upgrade ladder. No digging speed, automation flag, or Ducat price was published for the set. The only hands-on distinction that was actually shown is the Winch: you crank it yourself. Knowing that does not tell you how the other machines behave. Read the item in front of you. The Winch guide is the opening sequence.
Hole expansion is a separate spending choice beside equipment. It is not a guaranteed path to a named missing bone. A Robux product called Upgrade Hole is listed at 79 Robux; that listing was not shown to be the only way to expand a hole, and no Ducat price for expansion was published.
Robux products are not Ducat prices
A public developer-product listing for this experience, checked October 28, 2026, showed 25 products priced from 5 to 999 Robux and displayed these 12 names. The other 13 names were not in that view, so this table is incomplete and prices can change. Recheck the purchase screen. None of these numbers are Ducat shop prices.

Temporary workers, when the Foreman option is available, run on the time remaining in that session. They do not publish a schedule you can copy between servers, and they do not force a specific bone.
